MLM Training 101 - Getting Started
Okay,
you joined your first MLM opportunity so what's the next step?
Your MLM Training
In a few days, your company is going to provide you
with an mlm training guide or start up kit that explains all about the
companys products,
services and opportunity. You may already have them in possession. If so
start looking over them and
familiarize yourself with all the material. Make sure you
follow the order of the training module if one is included.
All training material is different. So it might take you 1 day
to go thru the mlm training guide or 1 week. But what's important
is not to get overwhelmed with all the information. Don't get
discouraged. Take your time. It always best if you take small breaks
when studying the material.
Relax your mind for a few minutes then come
back to it again. You don't
want to burn yourself out before even getting started.
If you're still waiting on your MLM training kit, I recommend
you calling up your
sponsor and introduce yourself. Personally thank him or her for the
opportunity to work with them.
Your sponsor will play a tremendous role in your business.
If you feel uncomfortable doing so send them an email instead. The
point is to communicate with your sponsor. You’re sponsor is
there to help you succeed.
They can guide to a solid start and stir you away from many
dangerous pitfalls.
Although experience in MLM
does not matter commitment and
determination
do.
The fact is many people who choose to take this road
aren’t
willing to commit to hard work and sacrifice. They somehow anticipate
some
kind of overnight success and when that doesn’t happen they
end
up in pure disappointment. Its not where you want to
be.
Stay committed to your new business. Remember you chose this industry
for a reason. If you're looking to succeed in anything, you must always
stay the course.
Persistence
always
pays off.
3 Key Components to MLM
Success
There’s really no secret to success, but there are 3 critical
components you need in-order to become a successful multi level marketer.
Let's review them here.
Building
A List
When I first started in this
industry apart from not knowing exactly what
I was doing I was overwhelmed with mlm training information that I
found,
especially when I turned to the internet. I easily got distracted with
all the ads and promotions from different marketers.
I later realized that these people were
in fact doing one thing right. They were building their list.
Building a list refers to generating targeted traffic
to your website
where the visitor can leave their name, email address and phone number
for something in return. This can be a free subscription to a
newsletter, tips or simply anything of value.
If you fail to build your own list you’re going to end up
fishing
in someone else’s lake and paying a high price for
it.
Remember, a
business without leads is
pointless. It will be your job to generate your own. More on lead
generation later.
Building
Relationships
In
the
network marketing industry, it’s all about building
relationships. Go ahead, grab a piece of paper and
write that
down
somewhere.
People like doing business with people they like. They conduct business
with people they see as leaders and experts. But inorder to get in thru
the front door you'll first have to build a realtionship with that
prospect. Only then
will they welcome you.
You're going to have to build trust with your prospects by
offering value. That's why is crucial that you finish going thru all
the MLM training you recieve. The more value and benefits you
can offer, the more prospects
you’ll attract. Building relationships only makes it easier.
A prospect is more inclined to listen and follow
your recommendation if you have a good realtionship with them. Its
going to be instrumental in your success. I can't stress that enough.
Monetization
The last step of the whole
process.
Most marketers are so eager in finishing up their MLM training that all their thinking about is how to mak a quick dollar. They become like 95% of newtork marketers who try
to pitch their way to success. It quickly becomes about selling the
opportunity rather than producing useful content and value to visitors
- potential customers.
They forget the GOLDEN RULE - Satisfy
the visitors needs by providing solutions.
The good news for you is that
those hungry money
marketers quickly go out of buisness leaving you in position
to
capitalize.
You on the other hand know what it takes to succeed. You already have a
good relationship
Maintain customer oriented- cusomter focused and success will
surely follow.
To recap, the 3 components to MLM Success are...
• Building a List –
Generate leads
• Building a relationship with
that list- offering value and building trust
• Monetize that list- thru MLM
products services
and affiliate programs
Setting a Work Schedule
Creating
a work schedule or
business plan
should be on your first to do list.
Everyday,
every person has 24hrs - 1440 minutes to plan their work day and
complete certain tasks.
What you do with this time is crucial.
Time management plays
a big part of your success. It will impart dictate the outcome of your
business.
You
see, successful
people allocate their time, energy in ways conducive to
building
wealth
and this is always the result
of good
planning.
With good planning and a set work schedule you can ensure you
stay on track with your mlm training. It will ensure all your time is
spent being productive. If you spend half your day surfing the internet
and checking your email
every 30 minutes, you are not being productive.
We sometimes feel the need to make sure everything is in order before
getting started. It's ok to be organized but don't get stuck in
"getting ready to get ready". I know I've been there. I wanted
to
make sure everything was
perfect before getting started. All I was doing was
procrastinating. There's no telling how
much money I lost because of it.
Your objective is to solely concentrate on things that are productive,
things that will bring
you money. Your MLM training should be at the top of your list. Accomplish tasks that deliver results.
Ignore
the rest.
Set goals. It will give you something to
aim
for and allows you to track your progress.
If you see yourself falling short or maybe getting off track a in the process get with your sponsor to help you adjust. They can
provide you with excellent tips and advice that can get some momentum
going.
The kinds of goals will be entirely up to you. Be realistic
though.
When you start setting unrealistic
goals you’re simply setting
yourself up for failure.
Make them achievable. Make them attainable.
For example, a good short term goal can be to recruit 2 distributors in
your first
month. Another is to make a minimum of $500 in
sales in
30 days. These are short specific goals.
For each goal write an action
plan on how to accomplish
them. As you finish
one move on to the next. You’ll
soon realize that
the more you act them out the easier they become.
If you’re totally new to the industry I recommend baby
steps. Don’t try to out-do yourself. You will simply
overwhelm
yourself.
Again your work schedule along with your business plan will keep on the
right track.
For a network marketer every precious moment counts... Make sure you
spent it wisely.
It’s Now Or
Never
You
worked so hard and now just have to take the Final Exam. We all hate them and it’s
what
every student wants to skip but its the ultimate component
that’s
going to determine your success. You either pass or fail. And that exam
is all up to you.
It’s up to you whether or not you will take the necessary
actions
to implement everything you absorb and learn.
“Intentions
are useless without
the ability to execute them” -Mike Dillard
Applied Knowledge is a key
factor in determining your
success in any business.
Learning different techniques and strategies doesn't
do any
good if you’re not going to put them into practice. No
book, audio or secret will make you successful in MLM. Only the applied
knowledge that you acquire from these tools, the action steps that you
take from them will bring success.
Your mlm training will be no
different. Implement your skills into action. You may not start off as
you like but overtime and with continuing practice you will soon find
yourself on-top.
Practice makes perfect.
